This procedure can be performed under local anaesthesia or General Anaesthesia.

The tumour is localised by Ultrasonography. A needle is passed int the tumour under Sonography control.

The laser fibre is passed through the needle.

The tumour is burnt out or ablated under direct vision. An area outside the visualised tumour area is taken as the outer extent of ablation.

The area is checked again after 2 weeks and 2 months for adequate ablation by FNAC.
